happy monday! hope you all had a wonderful weekend! it seems like the weekends go by faster and faster as summer quickly comes to an end. adam and i are busy preparing for the sale of our house, but all of your good vibes must have worked because we were able to find a {temporary} condo! and let me tell you, this was no easy feat when you have a 115 lb dog in tow. we were told “no” by multiple places once they heard how big gruber is, but alas, we will not be homeless come october 7th and that is all that matters! once we’re all moved in i’ll be sure to post a tour of the new place. for now though we’re just going to try and enjoy the last weeks we have in our house! so this weekend, we decided to try a new restaurant in celebration of finding a place to live. when we were leaving the new condo and exploring the area we drove by a place called bellyq. adam + i had been wanting to try this place for a while so i decided to check open table and low and behold there was a 6:30pm reservation available! when we arrived we were asked if we would like a “regular table” or a “table with a grill”…i bet you can guess which one we picked. when we sat down and looked at the menu we couldn’t decide what to get since everything sounded delicious {so we asked the waiter for his recommendations}! we ended up getting a couple appetizers, 3 main dishes, a side, and 2 desserts {you know the typical serving size for 2 adults…right?}. the atmosphere at bellyq was great and i loved all of the rustic decor. it felt so welcoming.

overall, i thought bellyq was pretty good. i will definitely go back and try some different dishes. and from what we had i would highly recommend the edamame, the ribs, and both desserts! i would stay away from the duck {was my least favorite dish} and although the side of spinach was really good, it was totally unnecessary since all of the main dishes had multiple components to them. overall though, bellyq kept me wanting more and oh did i mention the patio is dog friendly?! we’ll definitely be heading over there a bunch with gruber come fall!
