while we were in sevilla we took 2 day trips.
on our first day trip we went to cordoba. it’s about an hour and a half from sevilla. we were picked up at our hotel by the tour bus and driven with about 25 other people to cordoba. although the crowd was not what we expected {we were the youngest people on the tour by about 30 years} we still had a great time. while we were there we explored a beautiful garden, a local jewish temple, and a magnificent church. our tour guide was a local woman and we thought it was so funny that she carried a purple umbrella everywhere so that no one in the group would get lost.

on our second day trip we went to granada {3 hours from sevilla}. the highlight of this tour was the alhambra. this is a beautiful {and massive} palace built in the 9th century. this tour was also conducted by a local guide and again, we were by far the youngest in the group. after exploring the alhambra we spent a couple of hours in the old city of granada. it was a lot of fun!
