ugh, you guys…i have seriously been lacking motivation to keep up with the blog lately. not because i don’t genuinely enjoy it, but because i’m busy, and at night when i actually have time to sit down and write something, i’m tired. and not just “i took care of twins all day” tired, but like real, true exhaustion. whenever we travel i always find the days a little more tiring – we are out of our element and the twins’ routine is naturally thrown off. on top of that, breck has been pretty sick and hasn’t been sleeping at night, and although thatcher’s been a perfect angel {thank goodness} taking care of two kids with no sleep is extremely hard. thankfully though b seems to be on the mend, and we’re starting to figure out our “raleigh routine”. and now that i think about it, did i tell you guys we were going to raleigh?! i can’t even remember. well, we’re here. and we’re hanging out in adam + i’s old hometown until mid march! we decided that we should escape the cold, toronto winter and what better place to do it?! the twins’ love hanging with their grandparents and since adam is traveling almost nonstop for the entire month of february, i’m loving all of the extra helping hands! and we’ve actually stayed pretty busy so far. we’ve been hanging with friends + family almost every day, and the twins are even taking a gymnastics class while we’re here! it’s going to be hard to leave at the end of our 7 weeks. here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been up while we’ve been here. and i’ll try to be better about stuff next week! hope you guys all have a great weekend!

IMG_0053_2^^ b started our trip by face planting into the concrete the first morning. not sure if you can tell from the picture, but he ended up with a nice bump/road rash on his forehead and also his cheek. we went to starbucks afterwards where i had not 1, not 2, but 3 different people ask what had happened to him. while i sometimes like the “friendliness” in raleigh, other times i really really hate it.

IMG_0055_2IMG_0056_2IMG_0057_2^^ target! oh how i’ve missed thee.

IMG_0068_2IMG_0070_2IMG_0071_2IMG_0072_2^^ love how much they love each other.

happy friday, friends!
